I HEART it: Maxi skirts and combat boots.

My summer vacation finally began, so I think it's about time I updated this on-a-whim beauty blog of mine. :)

Now I know this won't be much of a topic, but hey, it's a start right? So anyways, this is a little segment I'll refer to as 'I HEART it' because I can't bring myself to speak like normal people. It'll basically be trends and styles that I'm in love with at the moment.

 My kick-start trend today is the ever simple, ever cute, maxi skirt.

Now take that maxi skirt, pair it with some heeled combat boots, and smile. Now that's hot.


I absolutely adore the masculine-feminine contradiction of fluttery, feminine maxi-skirts and edgy, masculine heeled combat boots.

My goal for the summer? To buy a maxi skirt. 

Okay, I lied.

I have much bigger goals for the summer of '2012, but the maxi skirt most definitely made it onto my wishlist. So I'll be on the look-out. ;)

Ever wondered what an out-of-the-box thinker does during her spring break? Kills hours and hours aimlessly wandering Facebook? Watches the Vampire Diaries series all over again and sits at her laptop until three in the morning for about a week? Finds a portal to Narnia in the back of her closet? Yes, yes, and no.

I'm just your average teenage girl. I'm not looking for a big break in the fashion industry. I don't go on a routine shopping spree every week. I can't tell Gucci from Chanel, and quite frankly, I don't care. I'm not trying to sell myself as a fashion prodigy, I'm not. More than anything, I'd like this blog to be a learning experience, I want to grow with it.

I see fashion as an art; and I'd like to perceive it as such. Low-cut tops and visible ass-cheeks aren't my thing. Layers, colours, soft but with a pop, that's more my thing. Also, I'm not a professional, if my pictures or articles don't seem very high-fashioned, it's because I'm altering the latest trends and styles to my liking. So sorry if you were expecting a Louis Vuitton handbag paired with 8inch stilettos, but it's just not going to happen.

Now don't get me wrong, I, being the stereo-typically lost and un-found teenage girl I am, still can't pinpoint what exactly my style is. See me, picture me, label me; but don't do it with my words. I want you, whoever you are, to decide whether I'm a good enough blogger to follow or not, but to do so you've gotta give me a chance. ;)
